1. Object

1.1 These Terms and Conditions, updated in February 2026, are intended to regulate the use of the order form and other services provided on the Online Shop of Vale de Cortém Vinhos Biológicos Lda (Vinhos Cortém), headquartered at Rua João Alves 24, Cortém, 2500-741 Vidais, Portugal, Tax ID nº 515 391 247, RNAAT nº 793/2024, hereinafter referred to as Vinhos Cortém.

1.2 The purchase of any product available on the Online Shop implies acceptance of these Terms and Conditions of Sale.

1.3 All alcoholic beverages available for sale on the Vinhos Cortém Online Shop may only be purchased by individuals who are of legal drinking age in their country of residence.

2. Product, Price and Content Information

2.1 Vinhos Cortém reserves the right to modify, at any time and without prior notice, commercial offerings, including products, prices, promotions, and services.

2.2 Product images are for illustrative purposes only. Variations may occur due to changes in harvest or producer modifications. Products are also subject to stock availability.

2.3 Despite Vinhos Cortém’s efforts, some products may display incorrect prices. Prices are indicative and do not constitute a contractual offer. If the actual product price is lower than advertised, the difference will be refunded. If the price is higher, Vinhos Cortém will contact the customer by email or phone and await their decision to accept the new price or cancel the order within 15 days.

2.4 All prices include the VAT at the applicable rate, unless otherwise stated. Only for resale professionals, prices may exclude VAT, with the indication “Excluding VAT” clearly displayed next to the price.

3. Shipping Costs

3.1 Shipping costs are added to the product prices and calculated based on the weight of the order, destination, and packaging. The packaging cost per bottle is 2 €.

3.2 Shipping costs can be simulated in the shopping cart by adding products and filling in the requested fields. The final total will be automatically calculated at checkout.

3.3 Shipping and packaging costs are subject to change without prior notice.

4. Shipping / Collection at Vale Cortém

4.1 To ship to the specified address, select the appropriate option: National Shipping (Portugal) or International Shipping (other countries).

4.2 Average delivery times after dispatch:

Continental Portugal: 3 to 5 business days
Madeira and Azores: 5 to 9 business days
Peninsular Spain: 4 business days
Rest of Europe: 6 business days

4.3 After dispatch, tracking information will be available in the customer account and sent by email. If you do not receive it, please contact Vinhos Cortém.

4.4 Customers should follow the shipping status via the provided link, as Vinhos Cortém does not send notifications for each status change.

4.5 All products should be checked upon delivery. If damaged, return them immediately to the carrier, indicate the reason on the shipping document, and notify Vinhos Cortém by email.

4.6 If any item is not as expected after delivery, contact Vinhos Cortém immediately at info@vinhoscortem.com, providing the order number and attaching photos of the packaging and products.

4.7 Vinhos Cortém is not responsible for shipments to countries where the import of alcoholic beverages is prohibited. Customers are responsible for customs duties if applicable. In case of product return, only the value of the products will be refunded, excluding shipping costs.

4.8 Vinhos Cortém uses specialised carriers but cannot guarantee exact delivery times. Delays beyond the company’s control may occur.

4.9 Deliveries are made during working hours and on business days to the address provided.

4.10 If delivery cannot be completed due to absence, the carrier will leave a notice. Customers should follow the instructions for collection or rescheduling.

4.11 If the customer cannot receive or collect the order, they should contact Vinhos Cortém to find a suitable solution.

4.12 Collection at Vale Cortém:

Only the person named on the order can collect it, unless prior notice is given identifying another person.
Processing for collection may take 1 business day. Customers will be notified by email when orders are ready.
Customers must present the order confirmation/number when collecting to avoid unnecessary trips.

5. Right of Withdrawal, Exchanges and Returns

5.1 Customers have the right to withdraw from the contract and return products within 14 days, according to Decree-Law nº 143/2001 and Decree-Law 82/2008.

5.2 For exchanges or returns, contact info@vinhoscortem.com with the order number, respecting the following conditions:

Products must be in perfect condition, including original packaging, accessories, promotional items, and proof of purchase/invoice.
Returns of defective or incorrect products are covered by Vinhos Cortém if reported within 14 days.
Upon receipt and verification, the product value will be refunded using the original payment method or another agreed solution.

5.3 Vinhos Cortém is responsible for defects originating from materials or production, offering free exchange or refund if confirmed.

5.4 Used or altered/modified products cannot be returned.

5.5 Vinhos Cortém is not responsible for incorrect use, negligence, improper storage, or force majeure.

6. Governing Law

6.1 All purchases on the Vinhos Cortém website are governed by Portuguese law. Any disputes will be submitted to the competent Portuguese courts.

6.2 Customers outside Continental Portugal acknowledge that any legal action must be brought exclusively in Portuguese courts.

6.3 Pursuant to Article 18 of Law nº 144/2015, the Alternative Dispute Resolution entity available is the Lisbon Consumer Arbitration Centre:

6.4 These Terms and Conditions may be amended without prior notice and should be consulted before placing any order.

Cancellation Policy

For wine tasting experiences:

100% refund if cancelled 48 hours or more in advance;
50% refund if cancelled between 48 and 24 hours;
No refund if cancelled less than 24 hours in advance.

If we cancel a prepaid wine tasting for any reason, a 100% refund of the prepaid amount is guaranteed.

Amendments to these Terms and Conditions

Vinhos Cortém reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions. Last updated: 3 February 2026.
